Will a Farmall H starter fit on a Farmall A?

I am just wondering what the difference is between the two starters? They appear to be the same?

H starter might be heavier duty but other then that it will bolt up just fine. From what I understand the ones for the B/A etc are 2 pole and the ones for the H is 3 pole. I have used them either way and they work well but if going from small tractor to bigger you just have to watch how long you spin the engine over

except the H starter has a different lug then the A. the A used a pull rod to start.
