6 Cylinder Continental Engine

I have an F226 six cylinder continental engine that needs to be reuilt. I have a chance to get a 6 cylinder continental engine out of an old Towmotor fork lift but I'm not sure of the engine model.

Are the Continental 6 cylinder engines all interchangeable??

Thanks for your help on this!

Continental built from garden tractor to tank and bomber aircraft engines. Parts sometimes do interchange, but they built many different engines.

Most of the industrial ones like used in fork lifts are the 227 which will fit where the 226 sits. I have a 227 that is in a road roller and it was rebuilt a good number of years ago but has very few hours on it.

Thanks everyone!!

I'm going to buy the one for $300.00 and sell parts from my other one.

Does $300 sound like a good deal? I think so!
