I noticed the prices of MFWD tractors from the 50s,60s,and 70s have been high lately. What is driving this?Any particular make more valuable than another? Heck,I noticed some really beat tractors fetching top dollar just because of them being MFWD.

My neighbor has a couple of VERY rare Farmall industrial MFWD tractors. If I remember right one of them is like a 2706. He has 2-RWD and 2- MFWD.

As far as collector pieces, they were kinda rare, not to mention people collect everything man ever made these days. The early 4wds were not too good. Personally, I wouldn't give very much for an old 4wd, but anything from the early 1980s on up would be considered modern.

First one I ever saw was a neighbor bought a new Oliver. I think it was an 1850. In the spring when he had duals on back and go by our place with field cult. Man I thought that was so cool. In winter he would put a loader on it and with loader frame and cab(I think it was a Cozy) with out much glass and he was a short stocky man stuffed into that small cab I tell you I don't see how he could even see out that thing.

If you're interested in those things, there's a new magazine that caters to them. Heritage Iron. www.heritageiron.com
