Quick Hitch for a 3020

I was wondering if the quick hitches you buy at tractor supply for the three point will fit a 3020. Also how do they actually work. Im thinking about buying one if it will make my life easier hooking up three point hitch equipment. Thanks!!

I think the extending bottom links are handier than a quick hitch. But I've not used a quick hitch.

Quick hitch? Once you use one you will wonder how you ever got along without one!!!! It does not matter if we are talking about combine headers, loader buckets, backhoe buckets, or 3pt. hitches they make life sooo much simpler. I would not be without one even if it means tweaking the implement hitch to adapt to the quick hitch. I have even thought about about welding the pins so they can NEVER be removed as it seems the guys I work with are always takeing them off for some reason and when I want to use the tractor I have to put the silly thing back on. Use them and enjoy!!!! Armand

A quick-hitch will fit your 3020,you'll have at adpt your weqip. to fit as all wquip. isn't built to sae standards. Usually it's the height of the top-link pin that's the problem. I have one on a 49 HP and my daughter changes from rotary tiller to box blade to mower by herself.

One of the best things about a quick hitch on a 3020 is you dont even have to get off the tractor because you can reach around and flip the latches right from the seat. There are days those quick hitches save me a whole lot of work, very handy.

You want one for a Category II 3ph. They save an awful lot of time and frustration. On your implements you will need to add the sleeves, over the mounting pins. A hydraulic top link makes them even handier. I"ve had two of them for over thirty years, one modified a bit to fit the 4450 Cat III, but still works for II, like the other one. Use them on 20, 30 40, 50 series. Another mod- they snag hydraulic hoses on turns with pull type equipment. I drop in a one inch pipe, with washers welded on the ends, and lay the hoses on the pipe- they don"t snag on the latches then.

For a smaller tractor like a 3020 buy a older JD quick hitch. Much lighter (but plenty strong) so is easier to take on and off than the heavy aftermarket hitches.
