It started raining here in western Ill. late Friday night and it's still raining off and on Sunday afternoon. I didn't have a rain guage out, too much frost to get it stuck in the ground Friday evening. Talked to a neighbor at church, he had over 3" this morning and it's been raining off and on since. Both pictures are the same place in the field. I tried to rip it up as deep as I could last fall, and this is what it looks like after a goose-drownder. The creeks are running bank full, probably go out tonite. Chris

Here at Farmington it is about the same. We had alot of hail at about 6 this morning. There were still piles of it at 9:30am.
I fed hay on friday and there was about 8 inches of mud and a layer of frozen ground below that. I took the 4 wheeler and went to the back of the pasture to look at the creek today between storms and it would seem the frost is gone after 2 days of rain.. It was so muddy today the cows seemed to be content just hanging out up on the concrete around the buildings.

Friday afternoon this creek was about 6 inches deep and 2 foot wide. That is a 16 foot gate in the corner of the picture so you can see the water is really running. Starting to look like we could have another late spring.

My sis in the Quad Cities said it rained like crazy there with lightning and thunder. Here in NW Iowa we had a sprinkle, then 1/2" snow that went away quick and now the sun is shining. 5:30 pm. Almost all of the old snow is gone here, just a little left in the ditches, and most of the ponds have gone down. Jim

Amen on it being wet. It hasn't really dried up all winter/spring. Took advantage of it being wet yesterday and burnt limbs from two trees we took down last fall along with what the ice storm took down. By the time I was done with the burn pile I was sure glad the 1066 has a cab as it was POURING rain. Shoving the pile tighter left some deep ruts, where the garden was several years ago at least 6 inches. The wife is grumbling about all the water in the yard, since they ran the rural water in a couple years ago for some reason it won't drain the same. I know there is a small rick of dirt left the full length of the pasture and I wonder if the water that used to drain to the grader ditch is now being forced into the yard. But, getting off topic now. DOUG

Chris, did you see that flywheel for a 70 on ebay. Harlan has it and the auction ends in 3 + hours. It is at 9.99 right now, heck of a cheap flywheel.

Hi Super, We just got about three inches of snow in about a hour and a half starting at 12:30 this afternoon. The creeks are full. But hopefully the frost is gone. ...Randy

i know the feeling started boiling sap this am about 9 ish started raing at 10 ish still is at 8 pm long wet day sap is still out there boiling away

It sure did do a lot of raining didn't it. I took Elly out at about 7 pm Friday night, made three trees, with coon. Got back to the house, walked in and it cut loose.

Thanks for the heads-up, I finally found it. Not sure what to make of the patch around the splines, but if it's cheap enough I'll take a chance. Chris

Any water you don't need send it down to Texas. We will take all we can get. Most of the state has been under a burn ban for months

We just got two sprinkles out of that storm in west central IN. Just to the south though there were two twisters and north of us lots of rain. We dodged a bullet but still have lots of high wind tonight.
