Case 444 Year?

Is there any way to tell the exact year of a case 444 garden tractor? Thanks

Nice tractors--i have a case 220-- You might ask @ 'Garden Tractor' site on sidebar here--external_link has listing, but just tells how many years built if i remember. good luck-paul

The reason I would like to know is that I am restoring this tractor because I like it so much and I am trying to determine which paint was used. I have read everything I can and I am not sure if it is Flambaeu red or Power red. Either way, it really looks orange to me. The whole tractor and attachments are one color so I am leaning more towards Power red, but I know the power red has more red in it which makes me wonder. Any ideas? Thanks for your time

There is a Case garden tractors group on Yahoo. That's the best site I know of for Case. I'm pretty sure there is a serial # listing there too.
