Kind of glad this wasn't in the U.S., some lawyer would be suing for wrongful death for the police chasing, museum for dangerous fences, etc.

In England the "victim" will probably sue the museum for having a dangerous fence. If that doesn't work he'll sue who ever owned the tree.

You reminded me about a story where a burglar in Britain was injured by a home owner while he was trying to rob the home. He sued for lost income from the injury because he wasn't able to be a burgler for a while. I think he got shot with a shotgun which was also a problem for the home owner if I recall correctly. Been a while back.

El Toro, I dont think this site is the place for these types of photo's. Too many young people frequent this site and images such as that are the last thing they need to be seeing. There are some pretty rotten photo's on the net, this site doesnt need to be one of them. My 9 and 12 year old often are here to see people photo's and by the topic heading no way did I expect to see an impaled person.

If you go to snopes.com, there are several pretty graphic pictures, like this one, I particularly like the picture of the Jamaican lookin dude, who jumped off of a overpass, didn't know how high it really was, landed headfirst on a wrought iron spear type fence, kinda lost his head. I agree that this is not the place, to post this, but if you want to see if its true, go to snopes.

I remember the story. I think the county (?) sued the home owner for the dole they paid the man while he couldn't work due to injury - essentually covering their "work comp" costs.

Funeral costs are considerably cheaper than law suits. That way there is only one side to any "testimony".
