Got the corn rake home

It says on the tag it was built by Sudenga of George Iowa. Pretty straight looking unit. Has a 4hp Briggs and Stratton. The motor wasn't stuck, but the tank was full of varnish. Flywheel and everything was rusty and it didn't have any spark. There's a Factory Authorized dealer a mile away,so I dropped it off with him. Looks like it's gonna save a lot of shoveling when I get it running.

Hope it works. I grew up on the business end of a #14 grain scoop, and as bad as it was shoveling ear corn with one of those wire ear corn shovels was worse.
Good luck,
Paul

ya gotta post some pictures of that auger, is it single or twin screw? now all ya need is a sheller and couple sets of drags, huskin wagon, cob truck and your in the shellin business!!!! i'll bring my grain shovel and some baling twine to tie up my coverall pantlegs to keep the mice out!!!

Sudenga ear corn augers work great, used to use one at my old place where the floor of the wood crib was higher then the alley way where the drag set, still had to scoop a little but not alot

It's a twin screw. A couple of those cribs, you might need more than baler twine for the mice. Maybe a baseball bat for the rats.
