Rim color on a' 46 VAC

Currently restoring a 1946 Case VAC. Can anyone tell me the original color of the rims? I have gotten two variations: silver or cream.

Jo Jo;
The wheels were originally galvanized, so most repaint with silver. VAC never did use cream or Desert Sand is it is known. Rest of tractor is Flambeau Red. Accessories such as starter, generator and carburetor can be painted black for a little contrast... Gene

Never saw any cream but the early Rock Island (IL) Case tractors had black rims. This includes the R series, VC series, and the early VA series which started production in 42. At some point after 42 they started with silver colored rims. I would agree with Gene and say silver. Might get some interesting feedback if you were to ask that question on the Case forum .

Seems "Desert Sunset" has become "Desert Sand" the last few years. I am seeing that on aftermarket sales listings also from people that I think should know better.

I thought they were just making a mistake but seeing you write that Gene, I am starting to wonder. What am I missing?
