want to run a wire out to the camper 250'away will be using t.v. computer and a few lights.what amp circuit would I need to run them. 20 amp ?

jump up one size of wire for every 100' is a good rule of thumb. #12 for 20 amp so #8 should handle anything like 20 amps

All the expense is in getting the inspection & digging the trench & closing it up again.

For the whole project, there is little differencebetween doing a 20 amp box or a 60 amp box out there/

The 60 amp will let you put a building, or do welding, or whatever out there.

Twenty amps lets you light a few lights now, and kick yourself 5 years from now when you are digging another trench & buying more wire.....

Your call, but give it some thought.

You are at least running 240v out there, so you can get 2 circuts of 120 each?

It's a real job, might as well do it right, you have the time & money invested.

That's a pertty fair distance, legal you might need #8, but #6 would be a lot better for your motors & electronics for a 20 amp.

My camper had A/C in it. No way I could be working on the computer or watching tv in the summer without A/C. If you got AC, then the camper has at least a 30 amp plug. Bigger campers use a 50 amp plug. Time to run a 60 amp external box like they use at trailer parks.
