identity theft warning!!!!!

Just had a warning through our security folks and saw a little on the news aboutpeople being able to access your computer and personal records through some shareware like you.tube etc. It says that Itube and youtube are not a problem, but some others like them. This comes from the US Secret Service. There is supposed to be a free (???) download to safegaurd against this.

If I can find/get any details I'll post them.

They can get all of the access to my computer they want. They will not find a thing as I have never entered a SS, Bank, or CC number into this machine and NEVER WILL.

The report was about a family that did their taxes online and didn't get the 2k something they were supposed to get. Found out that someone had hacked in, changed the delivery address, used the other info to steal the identity and cashed the check. Could be a little off, but that's about the size of it. The IRS was convinced enough that they reinbursed the people for the lost refund and this warnng was sent out. traced it to the kids downloading some shareware for music.
