Hi, could anyone help me with a few old 1976 Deutz 8006 questions,

1), What is the easiest method for bleeding back brakes as these tractors have a balancing valve across the two master cylinders and four bleed nipples?
2), Are there any common hydraulic faults as the hydraulic arms dropped all of a sudden and won't lift,? (pump ok). Thanks
 
The 8006 hyd. filter is in the center of the trans. on the bottom of the tractor. There is a circular shaped plate and the filter is located above it. The "old" filter is a 2-piece(screen/paper) unit. I think the replacement is a 1-piece. Sometimes just cleaning the screen is sufficient and sometimes replacing the filter will do it. After you have cleaned or replaced the filter, refill and turn the steering-wheel from left to right until the air bubbles are out. It's okay to make the pump whine a little, this is just the air making its way back to the reservoir which is at the highest point on the tractor. Plug a hyd.-pressure guage into one of the remotes and see if you're getting a full 2500 psi.. The remotes are at the end of the hyd. circuit. As far a the brakes, give Wally Kassner a call.
