Bumpers

Thought I would share some Bumper pictures. I made both of the in my shop. The old ford wass just somethin to do. the dodge was after I tapped a deer with a fancy grill gaurd at 45mph. And it toasted the grill gaurd,bumber,grill and lights. So I beefed it up a little. Funny thing deer run the other way now.

Shoulda' extended the one on the Dodge out a couple feet on each side, now you mirrors are fair game!

Get you a set of those "Deer whistles", I've used them for years. I don't drive at night
anymore, but there still on my old van.

My kid could have used that a few weeks ago,hit a big buck with his 2003 Murano,TOTALTED.$11,0000 worth of damage.OUCH!!!.

Looks good....kinda serious, too!
A kid (19yo) near here wants me to build him a bumper for his Ford 350. I told him I'd be glad to supervise, help and provide the shop and tools but it looks like a REAL good time for him to learn the basics of welding & rigging.
He a good kid and agrees the more he can learn the better off he'll be. Kinda unusual now days!
Near as I can tell his only vice is golf....

Forgot to mention - A while back I saw a LARGE, DRESSED OUT Hummer with writing across the tail gate and top of the windshield -
"White Trash With Money!"

wish i had that last week, did the drive hunt with my volvo and got 2 white tails, trucks in the shop, $14,000.00 and there still counting

Seemed like I had a bullseye on the back of my truck. About once a year I got banged into. Usually the license plate and taillights took the brunt. Built a new box on the truck 2 years ago and built a new bumper. Solved that issue.

Maybe Deer Whistles work on Ohio Deer, but the
Wisconsin State Patrol extensivly tested Deer
Whistles, several years ago, and concluded that
they wern"t much help!

The Ford pictured below has 4 of those deer whistles on it from the previous owner. THEY WORK GREAT!!! I've clobbered 2 deer so far!
Are these supposed to scare the deer away or call them in?

I know I been lucky, but I've killed 3 deer with the factory bumper on my ford, and its little the worse for wear. Need to build one for both pickups soon...feel my luck wearin thin.
