Diesel prices

Was in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota last night and a sign had road diesel at $1.99.9. That is the cheapest it has been around here for a long time. On the other side of the river, it was as high as $2.29.9. Finally the price is coming down and it looks like it might even get cheaper than gas. Can only hope. What's it doing in your area?

On 2-18-09, paid 1.819 in Jackson, MS for road fuel an on Friday, paid 1.959 in Wytheville, VA. It is higher here in NC, but that is a function of tax rate.

Regular gas $2.19, road diesel $2.25 in western Washington. Safeway grocery stores give a 10 cent a gallon discount at their stations for every 100 bucks you spend on groceries, and you can stack the discounts. We should have about 30 cents a gallon discount saved up by the next time we have to fill up the pickup, so will be well under 2 bucks.

While the big mega truck stops are still trying to hold the price of diesel up (209.9) so they can make mega profits some of the mom and pop places have lower prices. (187.9)

There is a racetrac gas station near me that has low prices because of local compitition.
Road diesel 189.9 and regular no lead gas for 179.9.

You guys are fortunate!

Cheapest diesel in my area (upstate NY - the "land of taxes") is $2.59. Most stations are charging $2.65 - $2.69.

OTOH is sure beats $5.19 we were being soaked last July...

Here in mid Michigan, running around $2.12 at the pump. Fuel man was here Thursday with heating oil,it was 1.79.It was 2.03 a month ago. I told him I was going to need 1000 gallons in the diesel barrel before too long. He said the price is still dropping,so if I could wait just a little longer,it would pay off.

Central Minnesota is 1.99 for regualar diesel and 2.09 for winter blend. I filled up yesterday for 65.00 the cheapest its been since I owned my truck.

$2.29 for green diesel, $2.43 for regular gas here in northern Ca. Hope it drops a little before we fill the farm tanks. Been pretty stable since the first of the year.

Still $2.40 a gallon for road diesel and $2.00 for 86 octane gas here in NE Pa. But we are heavily under the Williams Oil cartel. We pay what Randy wants us to pay.

Guys, O.T.R. Diesel, 1.98... Liberty Hill, Texas. 12 miles West of Georgetown Texas

86.7C a litre here, which works out to $3.29.46 CAN or $2.63.5 (US) per US gallon. (depending on exactly what the Canadian dollar is doing by tomorrow....)

from Sturgis via Pierre to Brookings last weekend it varied alot from 2.49 to 1.87 in Wolsey. Farm dsl. is 1.69 locally.

Hey, if you were on Highway 34 from Sturgis to Pierre, you were only about 5 miles from where I live. Can't see our place, but we can hear the traffic on 34 on a nice day. Are you from Sturgis? We might be an enemy if you are, because we like to come out to that little event you have the first full week of August. I know some of the locals hate the Rally. Always wanted to come to the threshing bee that is there, but we are almost always busy that time of the year, especially if we spent a little time at the rally.

Jeepers! I was happy it just dropped to 2.59 here in Central NY.
Now Im depressed because we are so high!
Thanks guys!
Tim

Flying J vs Pilot in Perl, MS....sure hope the price war continues and maybe even heats up a bit...will find out tomorrow on my way towards Redwood, MS (north of Vicksburg)

Here in the People's Republic of Connecticut, $2.45 is the lowest I've seen.

Considering the lousy fuel value of today's ULSD, it should be priced about $2. lower!

I am 25 miles se of Brookings or 8 s of Elkton, If you heard a Dodge dsl. with a straight pipe in the early eve. on Feb. 15 it was me!! We went to sturgis to get a tractor, took my son to the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and a few other sights. I really like the hills, kid got to see mule deer, big horn sheep, prairie dogs, a mt. goat and some antelope eating some ranchers hay along 34. Not things we see on the flatlands of e SD/ w Mn, Been to the rally on bike, like to go again sometime, have alot more of the hills to explore would also like to get to the threshing show at sturgis , maybe this summer. I know the locals hate the rally, nearly impossible to get to their jobs, ect. Friend that I got the tractor from lives east of sturgis 15mi. but works at New Holland on the west end of sturgis so he has to navigate the rat race every day. Suppose if a person had one of those old fenced in missle silo enclosures on their land it would be a good place to put hay so the wildlife couldn't eat it.

Bought some Friday here at home for 1.99. Took the truck to the inlaws almost to Lousiville this weekend. Most all the places along the 4 lane were around 2.10 up there and back.

I filled up Wednesday at Walmart in Lawrenceburg, KY for 2.11, Thursday at Burgin Oil for 2.09, and today for 2.06 back at Walmart. Looks like its coming down. I normally get 1000 gallons of off road in Feb. Think this year I may wait a while longer.
