(quoted from post at 17:48:10 02/22/09) I'm sure he didn't get it running and he probably never will.

by doggie andy, cut the boy some slack, those Allis Chalmers are some beasts.
Justin

Geez, give him some slack he's just a kid willing to learn. Most kids these days sit and play on the computer and video games. He will get it running.

And i thought you were cool.

im not gonna start a fight, im just gonna say you can say whatever the hell you want. And keep saying it until the first allis B crank start video shows up here. Have a good un

I was not trying to offend you. I thought you were a good kid too before you got to using all that language. I don't watch any of your vids anymore because all they are is a ton of bad language. Sad someone your age has to talk so bad.

Allright dont watch em then, its cool

I dont know how kids are where you are, but im nothing out of the ordinary here

I have never seen a 15 year old use as much bad talk as you. If you did not talk like that AT ALL, I would have no problem watching your vids. The kids around here I know have never used any of the language you do. There was one guy at a tractor show who talked a lot of bad stuff, so I just walked away. I can't stand hearing it.

Lanse, keep on doing whatever you are doing and enjoy your youth. Just be safe, with your talents and ambition you can reach some lofty heights someday. You just don't want to make it to heaven too soon. The world needs ambitious young men like you more than you think.

Now, there's the matter of getting the B going.
Pull all of the plugs out, hook each one to it's correspnding wire, lay the plugs down somewhere so they're touching metal, slowly crank the engine over and watch the plugs to see which one sparks and when. Number 1 ahould spark when #1 piston is done blowing air out the hole and gets to the top. Everyone else has said this too. I just repeated it to try to act like I know something. When's the first crank video? Jim

Good for you, Lanse! You keep working on the B as you can. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will succeed.

Hey Lanse, You'll get it done soon enough. BTW, your videos are OK; I get a kick out of watching them. Reminds me of a long time ago. Keep up the good work.

So because the kid uses a few words, that means he cant fix his tractor? Damn no wonder my check engine light is on in the truck, it must be a warning, I better clean up my language..

Ever smashed your thumb with a hammer? Lanse's language may not always be the best but it's very frustrating when you're trying to fix something and you can't figure out why it won't work. From what I can tell, Lanse is trying to repair his tractor by himself as much as possible. You have restored tractors as well but your dad has been there to help you as you've said he's also restored tractors. I don't think Lanse has that luxury and it's a huge one to have. Still it's good to control the language on video's that anyone can watch. A few bad words doesn't make him not a good kid. You could have simply posted that Lanse might want to check his language when making a video rather than coming across like you have never done anything that might be questionable to someone else. Dave

It is a HUGE luxary. The good folks here compensate here though. When andy screws something up or cant figure something out he gets to call someone over and its fixed.

I have to shoot pics and videos, edit them, upload them, come on here, type up EVERY little detail, IN detail, wait for hours or even a day for responces to gather, sort through them, decide which im going with, tell everyone about it, post a thank you, write it down, do everything involved to execute the instructions, take more pics and videos, edit, upload, post them and tell everyone what happened. Its a tad harder.

Taking an online crash corse in engine building is about the hardest thing a kid can do. I think it was DickL that said that. Its really frustrating but its a good challange, and its worth it. Thanks everyone!!

That was not my point. I did not mean he could not fix it because of his language. You can clean up your language, but it won't turn off the Check Engine light, you need something on the engine fixed.

I may have hit a finger once or twice, but I don't say something bad to the hammer if it happens. I do just about all the work on me and my Dad's tractors. On my Dad's H, I did everything except we both painted it.

Letting that "moderator" thing going to your head a little aint cha Andy. Im not diagreeing with you, just think that was a little uncalled for partner! Wouldnt be surprised if he got it running, just to show you up!

If you didn't say something bad to the hammer, did you say something bad to yourself? What's the difference? According to your logic, even if thought something bad makes you a bad kid. I'd bet your dad or a neighbor, etc. has helped you more than you're willing to admit. Dave
