O.T. 02 Ford 450 Brake stays on floor, can't pull it up

anyone ever run into this problem, brake petal stays on floor will not release brakes. can't even pull it back up. was working normal, stopped at stop sign stuck down !! I'm thinking it must be in vacuum booster Looking for any suggestions thanks in advance Jerry C

I think you are right about the vacuum booster. I had that happen to me on a OLD Ford 7000 at work last fall. The vacuum got on the wrong side or something and stuck the pedal to the floor. I disconnected the vacuum line and got it back to the shop and changed boosters. Good luck! ...Randy

Forgot to add that when it went to the floor it caused a line to break from the excessive line pressure. So I drove it with just the parking brake which on that truck is a small drum brake on the drive shaft. I didn't have to go much over a mile at about 10 mph the whole way and with three stops.
