i was thinking of putting some hay in one end of my shed this year it is 10ft wide 20ft long by 12 ft high.roughly how many square bales could i get in this area thanks RICK

Figure your cubic footage of your facility and figure on small squares a 14 by 18 inch cross section by anywhere from 36 to 40 inch length on the average.

:) Unless you can pack the bales in as tight as the baler packs the bales in the bale chamber figure about 360 - 385 bales! This is with 14"x18" bales averaging 36" long! All the hay that I store is in an old henhouse with 10' x 20' bays that is 6'6" posted! If I'm careful I can get 180 -192 bales in each bay! Thankfully, most of my hay is sold "off the wagon". To be realistic, you need to figure at least 6.5 cubic feet per bale! That would figure out to 370 bales in your space. :? BTDT over & over & over ------!

I used to store 125 in a spot 12' x 9.5' x 8' high, with some room to spare. If you stack them right, you should be able to get 350-400 in what you have.

That's just a little larger than a standard haywagon. We get about a hundred twenty bales on a wagon that big, but don't go 12' high!
