I have a MF135 and attached on the air filter case is a rubber plug looking thing. The guy I bought it from said it was a back pressure boot that I need to be careful not to lose. It is very loose , so I zip tied it on. It this what was on there origionally? It seems it would be a tight fit instead of practically falling off all the time. Does anyone know?

Does it have two "lips" on the bottom that would close when the engine is drawing air in? If it does,it is the automatic dust unloader. Inthat case it should snap up over a slight "swell" to hold it in place. A zip tie should work though.

When I saw it on my 135, I just assumed it had something to do with the mating season, and let it go at that.

Agco dealer or other tractor supplies should have that new just replace it. Many of those dust unloaders were same size on other equipment too.
