O.T. An automotive Electrical Question

My son has an old Ford Tempo with the automatic shoulder belt actuator. It hasn't worked the 5 years that he has had it. He did find that if you hotwire the motor leads it works and by reversing the leads it reverses. I have an Allis Chalmers Garden Tractor with an electric actuator cylinder. The switch for that is what he needs. One terminal for power, one for ground, and 2 for load. The switch is 3 position, spring loaded to center for off. Can anyone tell me what the terminology to describe this type switch is? The local Napa guy couldn't find one in his book. I looked at Radio Shack's website and was not able to pick one out of the poor descriptions that they give. Any ideas where to buy one, or scavenge one from?

It's called a single pole double throw center off(depending on if there is only one wire to each position). If there are two wires to each position it is a double pole, double throw, center off switch

DP-DT-Momentary contact. Many junk yard seat control switches are that style. About one week ago in Parts and pieces, there is a schematic. Search for Janicholson Two way switch. JimN

Thanks Jim for the diagram that you posted. It did the trick, and I was 90 degrees off and couldn't figure out how the jumper wires need to go. Great Help.
