I have a 1963? IH b275 and i was out move manure and it just lost power and died lots of diesel. So i changed fuel filter and cleaned water trap still will not start?
Thanks for your help

Did you bleed the air out of the fuel system after replacing the filter? You have to do that or it won't start. Start at the filter. There is usually a bleeder at the top of the filter. Open it up and then open the tank valve. When nothing but fuel come out, close bleeder screw. Then loosen the fuel lines at the injectors. ( I do this one at a time but other folks loosen them all at the same time. Your choice.)Make sure that you battery is well charged. Then crank until you see fuel at all the injectors leak out of the fitting. Tighten the fittings quickly, Then try a start.

O.K. but does it take a while for the fuel to get to the filter? And for the injectors i think i should of cranked it longer
Thanks for all your help

Thanks, How do i get to the screen in the tank? Can i blow a little air back into the tank to clear the screen?
Again thanks for all your help

Did this happen on Friday the 13th???? Just happened with my 3cyl diesel. Had to blow air in the tank to get the fuel flowing. If your filter is in the tank like mine, it opens a valve when it is in right.
