well guys guess what i found. a double set of relays they are a 5 prong and plug into a block.they were kinda tucked away into a spot that was hard to see.the base is a double but all one piece and accepts 2 relays that plug in from the top.although they look pretty rough (a couple bare wires coming into it)coming out is 2 wires that are identical to the wires from the motor so i am sure this is what it is for.what function do these relays actually do? i will clean it up and see if i can repair the wires that plug in from the bottom side.if not i will have to order another one and ill bet its a pricey little booger.thanks for all your inputs RICK

The simple toggle switch shown here will do it rather directly. I like solutions that make reliability improve. If your hydro motor runs up with one polarity, and down with the other, this csn replace all the relays and costly wiring. The circuit breaker or fuse may be in it already. JimN

Does your "new" hyd dump pump have power up and use gravity down?
Whole 'nother hydraulic and electric issue, if so.
Run the motor (one way) to lift and activate a elec/hyd valve to bleed down?
