info on Commercial Shearing backhoe unit

I have a hang on backhoe unit made by the Commercial Shearing & Stamping co. It's mounted on a 1957 ICH 350 utility tractor. I'm looking for the part # for the hydraulic filter on this unit. I had it out once, and it's a kind of fiber material that's cleanable, but I buggered it up a bit and would like to find a new one. As near as I can tell, the company went out of business in the late 50's or so.
Does anybody out there have any info on these things?

Commercial Shearing changed it"s name to Commercial Intertech about 15 years ago, I used to work in the plant that made hydraulic cylinders in Youngstwon Oh. I didn"t know that they made backhoes, they did make hydraulic pumps and motors and cylnders. Is there any identification on the filter housing, you might be able to find the filter media from that information?

type housing. A replaceable filter element was
available in 25 Micron, 10 Micron and a very
fine screen element that was usually used as a
suction filter on the intak side of hydraulic systems. It had a big hex, about 1 1/2 on the
bottom for removable, and about a 2" tube
through the center. Replacement paper filter
elements are available from NAPA and others.

Go to www.wixfilters.com Start checking around for hydraulic filters. They can cross reference about any number. You can then click on the filter number and bring up the filter specs. Then you can click on all the equipment and equipment makers that the filter is cross referenced to. I haven't tried and not sure if you can search the company name, etc. I may try it after I make this post. You will find a ton of companies use the same filter.

Well I just looked. Under advanced search and off highway equipment, it lists a lot of companies but not Commercial or Parker. Maybe you can email them with the size and details and they can find it. Post back and let us know if you find anything.

Here is a couple wix #'s to check on. 51760 and 51517 and compare the sizes. Case used commercial shearing among others.

Can you post a picture of hoe?

Case, koyker, hough, etc all are different.
