These are from a book called 'Disorder in the American Courts' and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

THINK ABOUT IT! MOST MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ARE LAWYERS.

My local University had an ad in the paper saying they needed 100 lawyers for a expirement, there are certain things that a lab rat will just not do.

Years ago as a banker I testified in many court hearings representing the bank.

[b:654c4848f0]Attorney:[/b:654c4848f0] Mr. Howell based on your previous answer to my question, may I remind you that you are under oath to tell the truth.

[b:654c4848f0]Mr. Howell:[/b:654c4848f0] Sir, I do not have a good enough memory to be a successful liar; I have to tell the truth.

Good thing the District Judge and I grew up in the same hometown and we knew each other!
