Tractors everywhere no camera!

Was working a claim on an old farmer and there was antique machinery everywhere, in sheds, in the open, and my camera was in my work truck which was in the shop (that's another story in itself)

There was an SC Case, with a loader on it, running
An old MM with a mounted New Idea two row picker.
The MM was parked with flat tires and hadn't been run for 8-10 years.
A 1948 Chevy, 2 ton truck in running condition.
A Case 470 diesel, with a blade on it, just in case it snows, It had a block heater and was plugged in waiting.
All the above was in the shed.

Outside there was an old case of some sorts, looked to be about the size of a farmall H, with a set of two row cultivators on it. Had been parked for 15 years to look at it.

I saw a 3 bottom, pull type plow of some sorts.
An old threshing machine which looked to be in good shape from a distance.

Then there was a 1964 chevy two door of some sort, it was in the fence row and I couldn't see it too well.

Anyway, there was stuff everywhere and me with no camera!

Would it be ethical/proper to post photos of a customer/clients stuff without his knowledge, anyhow???

gene.......i think i smell a road trip in the near future!!!!!! i'll hook up the trailer and head down your way!!!

Not meaning to put Gene down, but we had a similar situation on here a few years ago; someone (insurance adjuster, maybe) was poking around an old .....still active.......farmstead and drooling over the machinery he had 'found'. This was a kinder, more gentle place back then, but the consensus, as I recall, was that he was in the wrong.

I post a lot of pictures of MY own stuff, but I would consider it a breach of ethics and a form of TRESPASS for SOMEONE ELSE to be photographing it without a legitimate reason (with permission).

Likewise, I would not photograph someone else's stuff that is not on "public display". Certainly NOT in their backyards and sheds.

Well seems like I have got everyones shorts in a knot. The farmer was with me, showed me all around and would have willingly let me take photos. Course I would have let no one know where I was at, or whose stuff I had photographed.

Well, I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you!

PS, I am a crop adjuster, not your normal run of the mill insurance guy, if that helps. Oh, and we get tons of training and have to sign all sorts of forms anymore regarding privacy.

(quoted from post at 18:49:21 02/09/09) whether you boys like it er not, Google earth and big brother already has those pictures on file!!!
