Oliver 1600 gas

My tractor keeps cutting out like its out of gas. I had to run it with the choke wide open to keep it running. The sediment bulb was clear and so was the screen. Is there a screen inside the gas tank? I"m going to let the tank drain out and look inside to see if there is any junk in the tank. Anything else I should try? Thanks

Could need a carb rebuild.

Make sure the little vent holes are open in the gas cap. Can you blow through them?

as a last resort check your intake manifold for cracks and where it seals to the head.the neighbor's 550 did the same thing and it ended up that it would suck in air through the leak and lean it out then quit.it would run at 1/2 choke.hope this helps

Possibly points. My 1550 did that once.
