John730D, ?? about your electric remote valve

I saw your picture you posted last month of your electric valve multiplyer. I think I found what you had at surplus center, just curious if it all works like you expected. Im looking for a similar set up. $149 sound like the price on your valve? Any problems or limitations??
Thanks
Matt

Yes. It works just like it should. The only limitation I have now is the coulpers are not breakaways. Need to be careful not to put any pull on the hoses. This has not been a problem, but you need to be aware of it.

I got the valve from Suplus Center and I also got the o-ring to NPT adapters from them. I built my own control box using a SPDT switch and indicator lights. The valve is ground isolated so using it on a positive ground tractor is not a problem

I mounted the valve to the back of the power-trol control by removing the four top screws and replacing them with one inch longer bolts. I spaced the mounting plat out by using shaft collar locks. This gave me enough room to mount the selector valve. The extra room also helped when I hooked up the hoses.

Now All I have to do is select the set of hoses I want to use with the switch and then I can still use the original control lever for the remote cylinder.

I have used it on a pull tpye box scraper that has hyd. lift and hyd. tilt. Really works good.

Take a look in community album on left side of this page. I uploaded them from there and they got smaller. If you need, I could e-mail them to you. Thanks!

Hey John,

Yes, please send me a e-mail as I'd like to chew the fat about your project, if'n you don't mind.

Thanks for the info, so I take it the SAE 8 ports they spec translates to the O-ring type. Guess Ill need 6 of those adapters. Mine is going on a 7700 Ford so I guess Ill need a different can of paint than you used!

John, we better go this way as I haven't recevied anything yet
