Does anyone know about a John Deere 4020 LP tractor?

My hubby is working on a neighbors 1966 JD 4020 LP tractor and is looking for a part that we cannot find the name of so we cannot find the part! It attaches to the hydraulic pump and is like a gang where it has 4 or 6 holes to connect to other implements. I am trying to find the part for them but as I don't know what it is I am haveing troubles. So, what is the part called and where can I find one? Seems to make a huge difference that this is a propane tractor and a 1966. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you can take a picture and post it we can help you out, but I'm at a loss as to what you are talking about with the description.

Also be aware that you can see the complete parts catolog for a 4020 at jdparts.com

Click on the icon on the LH side of the page with the title "John Deere Parts Catolog" Type in your model number which is 4020 and then select the SN range that your tractor falls into. I'm guessing before 201,000 since its an LP, but you can check the SN if you are unsure. You can find any and all parts for that tractor in that catalog.

a 4020 should be a 4020, just the fuel system is different you know the year so shouldn't be too hard to find the part, have you tried to look up on the john deere parts lookup online, you loose me when you talk about hooking up implements to the hydraulic pump,

I appreciate the help. From the dealers, they all say that the fuel used, LP, gas or diesel, makes a difference in the part as well as the series etc... That is the reason behind me specifying the numbers. The problem I have had is that not only do I not know what the part looks like, I don't know the name. Hubby and neighbor both know what they want me to find but the name escapes them both so me thinks that they will have to come inside and look at the parts pictures themselves! It is the part that runs the separate hydraulic lines to whatever accessory is being hooked onto the tractor, such as the bucket. I will bring up the catalog, let them point it out, funny, it is what I first tried to do! :D

yea, maybe that is what they are talking about where the snap couplers screw in so you can hook up the hoses for the implements, thought the 4020 only had 2 remotes so got lost when she said 6 holes, but this should be the same no matter what fuel the tractor was set up for at the factory

Don't know the actual name but I always call that the hydraulic hookup. We have 3 4020's all older ones and it sounds like yours has/had a loader on it at one time and someone put a third block on it. They usually only have two which would be 4 holes. Don't know why the fuel system would have anything to do with it though. I'll bring the parts catalog up and see if I can find what I am thinking of and post a link to it.

the link took me to a sign in page but I will start at the beginning and see what I can find also by looking at the selective control valve, lol, and the hydraulic hook up! I like that one. Thanks for the help.

Ok, that last link found me the part, I think, If it is wrong then I am positive the right one will be there, will show the guys the pictures! Thank you to each of you for the help!

Maybe it is an industrial ? They used a big block on the main hyd. pressure line that has ports to tap into for the loader and backhoe and other things.

If so an LP industrial should be pretty rare.

Be aware that the early 4020 and the side console 4020 are very different in all the hydraulics. They have distinct parts books and shop manuals because they are so different. 1966 is early.

In my parts book I see a "junction block with steering and brake pressure valve" For tractor SN 65000 to 105111 the block without parts is AR34662 sub for AR31125 SUB by AR51732. Parts to fit the latest early 4020 also fit AR51732 replacement assembly, sub for AR31125, AR34462, AR40029, and AR40130.
