do you think a old book "the operation care and repair of farm machinery" is of much value? its a 1957 from deere & company, moline, ill...thanks

How much $$...I wouldn't have a clue.

I have a copy or two around here somewhere from my youth when a "short course" of such was taught/presented at Grange Youth Camp...mostly sentimental value to me.

Don't know what it is worth but I have one that is copy wrighted to 1955. There is a wealth of information in the back of it and is pretty interesting to browse through. I will never get rid of mine.

They normally sell for $20 to $30. I collect them as do a lot of people. Already have that issue. If you put an ad in the photo ads it will probably go quick.

I have one that is printed probably in the late 20's to early 30's. I can't find a date in it. In the front is says, "With the compliments of John Deere, Manufacturer of Quality Implements for nearly a century". I am not to sharp on Deere's but the tractor pictured looks like it might be a model D. A lot of the book is about about horse drawn equipment. Interesting book.

Everyone has pretty much answered your question, but I would add that 57 was the last year/volume printed.
