Massey 135 Oil cartridge.

I was told it is very easy to install a spin on filter on a Massey 135. Does anyone know what the part number of this kit is , so I can look for it?

Also does anyone know how much oil a Massey 135 takes? I just bought it and want to change it before I use it. I"m not sure how old the oil in the tractor is.
 
MF dealer can get you the spin-on filter kit, if your tractor has the old canister type. Dealer can also get you the manuals for your tractor. If you are going to keep tractor get 3 real MF manuals 1. Operator Manual 2. Repair Manual 3. Parts Manual. Best money you will ever spend on that tractor. Tom
 
I purchased one from my dealer, AGCO heritage parts, for my 175, I think it was around $10-$15. Some might argue this point, but it's much more convenient than a cartridge filter.
 
Installing a spin on filter on my MF was the best thing I ever did for changing oil on my tractor. The problem I had with the cartridge type filter was getting the O ring to centre on the metal canister. I got mine from my local tractor parts shop. Stan
 
It's very easy to do on a Perkins anyway. A dealer or tractor parts shop should have the adaptor. About $20 and just 2 bolts. You need to get the proper length bolts to install it as well. Dave
