Shoot, there are only 3-4 guys on here older than me; 72. I can"t get over modern wonders such as permanent anti-freeze, no double clutching, power this, power that, throwaway phones (seems everything is now throwaway).

I drive through La Feria area (107, Santa Rosa, Combes, to expressway 77) every day on my way to Brownsville. I'm substituting for an associate that took ill.

19 years old in good ole' Burns, Wyoming during the summer in Laramie, WY for college during the school months.

Yea, you get pretty close but I'm south of 83, actually south of Business 83 and east of 506 a few miles.
I feel sorry for you having to drive from the big E all the way to the big B, hopefully you won't have to do that too long.
I had to deliver a goat recently out east of Rio Hondo and I went up through Santa Rosa and Combes. I was amazed how much it's growing up that way, lots of new homes etc.
It's been over a year since I was over in your neck of the woods and I was really saddened to see all the farm land being carved up into housing developments and shopping centers. Won't be long and there won't be any Ruby Red grapefruit trees down here. Oh well, I think they call it progress and at least the depressed economy doesn't seemed to have much effect on us down here in the valley!
Take care...........and on your way to work tomorrow, as you pass over Paso Real (FM 509) off the expressway in San Benito, wave......I'll already be at work.
