I'm asking this for a freind. He is just looking for a temporary fix sence the motor that came with the car is shot, and he can get the Buick motor for cheap.
Any help is welcome.

It should as long as the starter is on the same size.Back then there was a big stink about gm putting Buick engines in Pontiac and Oldsmobiles...If I remember right it should bolt right in

Should fit OK- the only concern would be the motormounts. Save the old mounts from the Pontiac, may need a hot rod mount kit. LeMans was small body shell and when they put in the V8s motormount was offset couple inchs to use crossmember holes originally meant for the 4 cylinder engine. Radiator hoses may also need to use flex hose. As other noted- starter cableing/wiring may need a bit of splicing. 350 Buick engine was used in Kaiser Jeeps before AMC switched to their 304/360 family- hot rodders used it in other vehicles so special parts exist. Engine width was a couple inchs less at heads than some other GMs so would fit in tighter spaces. RN

I am sure they put the buick 350 in the Apollo. There use to be an Apollo v-6 and the V-8. V-8 was the GSX I believe.

So these are all the same uni-body. Chev. Nova, Buick Apollo, Pontiac Tempest/LeMans/GTO, and Olds Omega.

I cant remember if Pontiac and Buick mounts are a little different. I know they were a little from Chev to Buick. The front sub-frame (k-member) should be punched with all the different holes.

Sorry to keep saying I think, but I am really going by memory. Here in Michigan we have seen a car like that in a while. Rust long took them away.

Good luck,
Rick

Buick Regal/Skylark and Pont. Lemans were both full frame cars that year and shared the same frames. Use the Buick motor mounts and should bolt right in.
