Got this in an email. Thought you guys would enjoy this!!

Wouldn't you love to see how his trip went, reckon he ended up doin' some off roadin' somewhere.

Added some heavy-duty chain for extra support on the tailgate, (note the 'Heavy-Duty 'S' hooks to attach the chain) Also paid-up for some BIG 5/16 sheet metal screws to attach the frame to the tailgate.
Yep, probably overkill, but didn't want the possibility of having an axerdent.

Most of the time was spent on the front porch whittling down that MASSIVE 4x4 to fit precisely into the ball mount receiver.
Note: The 14"x14" piece of 3/8' plywood on the underside of the tailgate to distribute the load more evenly.
'YOU CAN'T BE TOO SAFE, YOU'ALL!!'.
B'gosh it costs a little more, but jeez, you just can't be too safe.

I love those pictures. Seen them 3 or 4 times now and even though I've thought long and hard about it I can't figure out what that person was on when he rigged that up.

Did it pass the road rules? He has also turned his low beam headlight into high beam and hb into a searchlight.Any overriders on rear springs. Steering would be a problem, something like a 5x4 bale of hay on the back of my TEA20.

Saw this on another site a couple years ago. Eventually the guy that owned this rig piped up. He claimed that the city was on him about dead or unlicensed or nuisance vehicles, imagine that, so he whipped up this deal to make his rig legally "mobile" to combat the city.

I sure hope he measured well and allowed enough clearance so he doesn't break his rear window. Did he have side exhaust so fumes don't come in the open tailgate ?

We know that guy is going to be a success in life. He can see oppertunities that are not obvious to the rest of us.

Yea, I think just had to move it up & down the block in front of his house to keep it from being 'parked' for over a week or whatever....

Wasn't a goose neck, but my former Grandfather in law used to pull a 28' bumper pull camper about 12 miles a year with about a 93 S10, 4X4 with a 4.3. I he only went about 25 mph and I would not have thought it'd do it but he pulled it to river camp every spring when the water went down and back home every fall.

Not say'n it's a good idea, just that it can be done.

Yes the city this guy lived in would not allow anything parked in front of the house except for your car or pickup.
He riged this up so he could move the camper a few feet every weekend.

The city my dad lives in has laws like this. Nothing can be parked in front of the house that is not used daily. Not even in your own drive way.
No boats; RV's nothing but your car or pickup.
