Ot Rabbits as nuisance

Rabbits are at my wifes bushes I used chicken wire but now I see rabbit droppings in there anyone have a special secret they can share to keep these rodents out.....
 
Box trap and knock them in the head. They taste goooooooood. We have jackrabbit here, but in the built up areas there are cottontails. I've been known to take a bb gun on night shift at work and pop a few for the freezer.

There is some stuff called critter-b-gone I used around my tomatoes last year.Some ceyenne pepper may keep them out,but like dave says rifle works best.
 
Supposedly, they don't like the smell of onions. But I agree with others; cut 'em up, bake in a 350 oven for about 1-1/2 hours, brown in a cast iron skillet. Yum! Yum!

All of the pellet gun I had when I was growing up were .17 caliber. When I got the 17 it had to be my pellet rifle.

I grew up eating groundhog, raccoon, and an occasional possum and muskrat. I missed it when I joined the army until I lived in on post housing in Missouri. Lived in the last apartment on the edge of the housing area with a big yard that bordered a big ditch and woods. Always had groundhogs coming into the yard and wet set in the bedroom and shoot them with my .22 with shorts so it wouldn't make any noise.

Got 2 acres around the house and buildingss
fenced off.
Rabbits can get in and out, but the mutt has the
run of it, and can't get out--no rabbit problem,
and he's caught a woodchuck, and adult squirrels.
you can't beat a good dog on patrol!!
 
Farm cats. I put out enough food so they don't go too hungry. The payoff is no mice, rats, rabbits, or anything else. I've seen them grab birds off the porch rail.
