cheap planter

i am looking for a cheap but good working planter perferibly under $1000.00 and close to northern indiana i am wanting a jd 7000 or a white planter 4 row or more in working condition. thanks

All I can say is this: Good Luck!!! If you expect to find a planter that new for that little, it'll have something wrong with it and it won't be a simple fix. Atleast that's in our area.

A decent 7000 in this area still brings a couple grand, see them priced anywhere from $2500 on up.

Good luck, let me know if you find one up in NE Wisconsin. My dad and I would like to go take a look at it...

Round here you would be better off looking for a 6 row 7000, city d***s all want 4 row units for food plots. (like a freak'n deer cares if the beans are in rows)

Some times at acution you pick up a good 7000 for a grand but it has to be a real thin crowd.

Only work'n planter you see sell in western KY for a grand or less will be an old IH or AC. AC's have gone up some in the last few years. (people are cutting them up and make'n 2 row no till 3pt planters out of them, work fair for food plots and folks will buy'm all day long and give over $500 each if you paint'm green)

You may have to drive to get one at that price. Last spring I was looking for a good 4 row, by me the were going for $1500 to $2000 in working condition. I found a always shedded Ford 352 (made by white) 4 row for $600, but had to drive 2 hrs to go get it.

You might want to look at a 56 IH. Dad used on for many years, worked great and they are relatively cheap.
