Smoking John Deere 6030

Typical dairy farm POS, NOTHING has ever come off a dairy, that isn't junk. They literally could tear up a rock with a rubber hammer.
Always surprised me in that these dairies get tons of government subsidies, yet they continually b!tch and moan that they aren't making any money. 99.9 percent of these dairy farmers have assumed the intelligence level of their cows, and the fact that wetbacks make up the majority of their employees doesn't help either.

What is wrong with that tractor? EGT's should have been hot enough for piston meltdown especially working it that hard for that long. It must have a(fuel) pump and a half on it.

If I had to guess, I would say a plugged up air filter. Those manure pumps don't require anywhere near that much horsepower unless there is something wound up in the impeller, like a big mass of baler twine putting unbelievable strain on everything. He should be able to pump his manure with a 100hp tractor no problem.

You don't suppose they soaked the air filer in diesel fuel or something to make a "cool" smoke video?

There is something wrong with the pump on that tractor, I have done the exact same job with my JD 70 LP and an IH 504 gas. It doesn't take 100 horse let alone 175 that the 6030 should put out.
And Ducknose, I don't know where you grew up but I spent my entire life around dairy farms and you don't have a clue what your talking about. The only differene is dairies use there tractors year around instead of just seasonally like cash crop guys.

I would expect ruined oil seals and bearings in the turbo allowing lube oil into the intake manifold. Due to high heat caused from over fueling and plugged air filters.
A complete and total disgrace.

Im a cash crop guy and I use my 3020 and 4020s everyday. I grow corn, beans, and have 30 cattle and I run them everyday not seasonally.

I suspected you might very well be able to pump manure with a smaller tractor than 100hp, but I've never tried it with anything smaller than an Allis Chalmers 200, which is rated for 105hp. It effortlessly runs it. IH 504 goes to show how little power it takes.

Still, when those pumps get wound up with twine it can be enough to kill the pto clutches on an IH 1466.

Looks like he's burning old tires doesn't it? Now some greenie will see it and use this video to get old tractors off farms and to the scrapper.

I'd say the owner is the type that going to run it until it completely blows, then he will junk it and go buy another cheap tractor at an auction. I know a guy who does that with the old Whites.

To the untrained eye, I'm sure it looks like there is something wrong with this tractor. Not so. This machine was factory equipped with an attachment that automatically de-louses all the cattle in the neighborhood.

Since it is a rare option, this makes it very valuable to the serious tractor collectors.

.

-Sorry-
-Just seeing what it feels like to be a fast-buck salesman for a few minutes.

I agree to that it is such a beefy and sought after machine. I guess when you dont give a hoot you just dont give hoot.(you know what words I realy want to use)

Just too bad it kills the cattle too along with the bugs.

Somebody call Al Gore! We have found the leading cause of global warming!

In my area if a person raises cattle they aren't considered cash croppers, or if they raise hogs, or chickens or turkeys. If the survive by raising crops they are cash croppers. My point was no one uses their tractors as much year around as a diary farmer. The manure always has to be hauled, the cows always have to be fed and the milk truck has to be able to get in.

I have family in the dairy business. You know NOTHING of which you speak. True, there are some farmers who abuse their equipment. To say dairy farmers in do in general, shows your ignorance.
