i like the green one too, i get tired of folks commenting my big kubota, i keep having to tell them kubota's aint got a deer on the front i wonder what differences there are between the 2 other than seat and exhaust, it even looks like the same muffler on yours, mine has had a stack since new the hole's oblong like the muffler, with a rolled edge, got a mid mount pto with 1000 rpm? as well as the 540 on the rear, mine is supposed to be a industrial version, just trying to see what makes it so, the front axle looks the same although your front tires are huge compared to mine the rest looks identical except for color, sure have liked mine, we bought it with 1,200 hours on it but its only got 18oo on it now with no problems at all

My guess is it was originally a state owned tractor. When they get so old or so many hours, they sell them at a auction. Somebody added a loader. There is a Ford 4000 by me that is that color.Chris

eric, this one is a buddy of mine's. they got it at a park district auction a few years ago, he has a landscaping business. well, the "crew" tore it up pretty good. they tore up the hydraulic pump, couple lines, broke the seat off, blew a front tire, then they worked on the engine a little and it wasnt running. he had put the bigger tires on the rear. i put the big ones on the front for flotation. rebuilt hydraulic pump, replaced two lines, got the seat cushions from big r's, made some brackets, fixed the wiring, tune up, filters, new battery, flushed the hydraulic system, and fixed some of the sheet metal, gave er a little paint too. it is a nice tractor to run, real comfortable.

i think most states use that color its called safety orange, i suspect that this one was somebodys road mower due to the mid mount pto, that shows more evidence of use than the rear one did, still strange to me that it was sold with only 1200 hours on the meter though, we bought it from a private party that had just had the loader installed, it was funny as when we picked it up, the loader had not even been used yet, perfect paint, on the cutting edge its a real nice tractor for around here,
