Hey guys I work for the reailroad as an equipment repairman, in the last year and a half I have had several injection pumps go bad since they changed the fuel to the ultra low sulfer diesel. It doesn"t seem to affect the old 2 cycle Detroits or the common rail engines so far just the engines with injection pumps, mainly JD indudstials and a few trucks. I was told by the service managers at JD and Cummins that the new fuel doesn"t lubricate as good as the old fuel and thats why they are wearing out anybody have similar problems, I use Howes lubricator in the winter but I might start using it all year now. I am mainy worried about my folks tractors as they can"t afford to be changing injection pumps and injectors . T.J.
