I am redoing a Farmall 1206.The tractor came w/18.4x38 rears. The tractor will be used for light duty or maybe some fun things[parades, rides, display, maybe a pull.Question I can get a set of step up near new that are for 42in tires. Used 18.4x42 are easy to find with good tread left.18.4x38 seem to have been used up.Can get42sand rims for $600.THANKS!

I personally would stay with the 38's cause of the front setting low.

Unless your gonna put some taller tires up front also.

I went to 12.4 42 on my 4020 for better sprayer clearance. The only available step up rims were $1200 each custom made. I found some rims with tabs on the inside with tires in a salvage yard for $500 a pair and made my own adapter plates of 1/2" steel plates. Not anything exhibition quality, but they do work well.

In Iowa tire dealers have yards full of 18.4 38 pull offs that will run a parade tractor for a few decades. And won't need step up rims or tilt the tractor. CTI is one with that large collection, Colfax Tractor Salvage has many the last I looked..
