Just bought a oliver 1900 the guy said his nephew looked at the engine Detroit 453 when it started hard and said it needed new injectors its complete though. I need new injectors and where to find them at a reasonable price.
Thanks, Alex.

Congratulations on your "new" tractor. Before you do any work on your Detroit, you need to get a service manual for it. They are frequently for sale on ebay in CD format. Detroit diesels are different from any other diesel engine and require special procedures, and sometimes tools, to work on them. Replacing injectors requires adjusting them with a special timing pin, and synchronizing the fuel rack. Injectors and tools can generally be gotten from almost any over-the-road truck repair center that handles Detroit/Allison.

where are you located. Search on the net for detroit injectors. You probably want 45 or 50 injectors (size). Local detroit dealer, IPD diesel, Interstate Mcbee would be places to get injectors.

I have a elderly neighbor who has a Oliver 1900 dual turbo Detroit deisel. It is in very good condition. He knows it is quite rare and wants to know what the value of it is. It has about 4,000 original hours on it . Could you help me out? Thank You
