Does anyone know where i can get a three point hitch for my Farmall H? Or make one myself? or are they even worth using at all? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Mike

Not cheap, but well worth the investment. I use mine with a back blade on my M. Unlike typical 3-pt hitches, it has two-way cylinders, so you can exert down pressure on the blade - very helpful when scraping snow off concrete or pavement.

thanks for the info; any idea where i can find one for myself. or do you have pictures of the one you use, i'm thinking of making one. i appreciate the help.

mike, go to saginaws website and check out the photos of thier hitch. i have one from them on my m. it is a NICE piece of craftsmanship. its built tough. and something that isnt really evident in thier pictures, there is a set of pins that you pull out on the top of the lift arms that aloow the hitch to float up free without any down pressure, it is great for bush hogging. hre is a couple pics of my m with a finish mower on the saginaw hitch

if you look at the top of the hydraulic cylinders there is a hole a little toward the tractor. those are the pins that release the down pressure on the hitch. pretty slick!!

Hi Mike, I have a Saginaw 3 point on my H. It works very well. I made my own 3 point weed sprayer and platform hauler. Have 3 point plows and harrow for it also.

thank you. i was wondering if the hydraulic lift all system is all you need to operate the 3 point hitch or if i need another controller. also is there any interference with the original draw bar? have you ever used it with a mower or brushog?

Saginaw all the way!!! I have one on my 51 H and it was the best thing I did to that tractor! I use the belly pump for lift and gravity for down. I made 2 vent filters out of pipe elbows pointed down to keep water out and filled with some steel wool soaked in gear oil to keep the dust out of the cylinders. It lets the air go in and out when lifting or lowering. There is just one hose going to the lower fitting on the cylinders. Some people have said doing it like that can cause the tool to drop hard, but it hasent happened to me and I have lifted some BIG logs with the boom pole. I can set them down nice and easy. I have a set up on an M with an older after market 3 point with power down force and have mangled hitch equipment bushhogging and grading if the lever gets bumped by a tree limb. Figured the downforce part I just don't need anyway and is good way to break or bend stuff. only problem I have on the H is it goes down slow on cold days till it warms up.

thank you. For sure I will go with a saginaw everyone has good things to say they look very well made too.
