low temp in SC

10 degrees this morning in Western SC. possibility of snow tomorrow. Now how does that heated stock waterer IAGary designed work?

I bet gary is out celebrating like the rest of us in the midwest. It is 15 above allready this morning. That is a big improvment from yesterdays 18 below.

Happy that it is 15 degrees here today, but the wind chill is still -3. Near Pontiac, Il.

Yup we got 19 here this morning and that is above zero.

That heat system worked thhe last 2 days at -20 degrees.

I bet 10 degrees is a real problem down there if it last too long.

All your water lines are not protected like ours are.

Did not get near as cold here as they were predicting. Was suppose to get down to about 24° but we really only got down to 28° and then it was only for a couple of hours. That 4° difference and the amount of hours below freezing really means a lot to us when it comes to frozen pipes and crops lost.

I know the strawberry farmers are happy to get threw this past week. All picking was stopped and covers were installed over the rows to try and help the crop threw the cold snap. Average farm has about 4 to 6 acres of berries to cover but the local news showed one large farm that has 15 acres of berries this year.
Now that is farming the hard way.

Woke up to 34F today! Heard it was supposed to warm up, but not overnight-it was 17F when I went to bed! Greg

At 8 this morning it was -1 here on the southside of Va. Hasn't been that cold since back in the early 80's here.

Was a delight to see my cows grazing stockpile fescue this morning. They all had a frosty back. Even the dog had frost on his back. Just for the heck of it I cranked the Deutz Fahr Agroplus 87. No heat and sitting outside. Good to know it'll start in case we lose power in temps like this. Always ready to use the generator when it's this cold.

Hope to see 30 before night and 40's tomorrow!!!!!! A day or two of this is more than enough. LOL

Got up to 39 today. Supposed to be a warming trend for the next few days.

Ice along the side of the little streams. It never does get cold long enough to walk on any lakes or ponds, much less drive on them.
