I defended ebay for a long time...not anymore.

They now require that all payments be made
recieved through paypal. There are still ways that you can recieve money orders, etc. But only a certain percentage of your transactions.

I have not bought or sold on ebay since they changed the feedback to sellers not being able to leave negative feedback for buyers.

Too much CRAP for me!

If thats true they have lost me as a user. I only pay via check or money order.
The more they make it corporate the more people will another way.

I've been buying and selling on ebay for over 8 years now,the new rules about feedback and paypal are all in favor of the buyer.Its become a real pain but how else do I get rid of the items I want to sell in an auction format?Craigs list is fine when you have a price in mind. Bill M.

I had a few purchases from really dishonest sellers who blasted me as a buyer with false feedback. One claimed that I never returned the wrong item he sent me. I had the UPS tracking number showing delivery to him. Still blasted me. And since the change, I have encountered no bad sellers.

And of course we are all free to use eBay- or not. Still is our choice. I expect some serious competition for eBay soon.

it's a big racket. ebay owns paypal and gets a percentage from the buyer and the seller. between this and there ebay listing fees, final value fees and the like, they're sticking it to everyone. the greedy a$$es. i've been using ebay for the last ten years, but it's about to come to a halt.

If y'all are so sick of eBay, why don't you just switch to one of their competitors? Oh, that's right, they don't have any competitors. Nevermind.

In answer to Don's question, it's not eBay that will be new on 1/20. It's the My eBay page. If you're still using the old My eBay page, you'll be switched to the new one. Supposedly 90 percent of eBayers are already on the new page, so chances are that you've already made the switch without realizing it.

Watch out once you post on Craigslist, you will start getting spam and phishing e-mails sent to you. Other than that, it's good.

Ive quit for the same reason.I bought tractor parts, supplies for my shop, books for resale.antique Ford parts.Got a new starter for my truck at half the local cost.Cant beat getting needed items in January without running icy roads.
