GAS PRICES

The price of gas goes up as demand increases, the price is going up again.
Does this mean we are using more?
Is it the fighting in Gaza (don"t remember hearing of oil wells in that area?)
Is it China and India driving up prices?
Increased demand for heating oil?
OPEC cutting back on production
What are your thoughts?

forget about supply and demand,it aint like that anymore.its about futures or some kind of BS like that.

It means that they're getting back to "normal".

The recent buck-fifty gas prices were an anomaly caused by oversupply.

Supply and demand is bull crap, wake up it is all about $$$$$$$ just like the rest of this country. Bush let it happen, now it is like a wild fire out of control. Opec has proven that they can make gas price what ever they want it to be.

Yesterday, the barrel dropped below $35.00 because of increasing stocks of gasoline. Israel translates to "unrest in the middle east". Are we ever going to tap our own resources (in their totality)? Granted, 35.00 is not much incentive to drill but Nuclear would help but external_link doesn't like it.

We have a local call-in radio show here, and an old gal used to call in every day. No matter what the subject, she would get it around to something being "Bush's fault" in short order. In fact, some guys would have side bets about how many seconds it would take her. She's gone now, and Bush will be too, in short order. Guess we'll have to change our side bets to how long it will be before another 9-11, huh? Although maybe external_link will surprise us all, and have some cojones, when push comes to shove. 72 the oil companies were stopping their tankers at a port with higher oil prices and then calling that the point origin.
