O/T Anyone wanna trade?

Weather guesser is saying we are going to drop to 25 to 30 below zero here for the next 5 or 6 days, actual temp, not wind chill! Any of you southern boys want to trade for a week or two. I got a nice warm trailer house:>)

Here in northern minnesota they are saying up to -40 for wensday night and like -35 for thursday but as far as I have heard it is for only the 2 days thank god.

Thats what they say, not looking forward to it. My biggest concern is my cows and calves. I have two shelters for them, but the cows seem to insist on being outside. At least they are on the south side of the chicken barn so that blocks some of the wind. I put out about two weeks of hay, but the way they are tearing into it it may be gone by friday.

Are you kidding? It has been a high here in North Florida of 50 degrees! I'm feezing my you know what off. It's sposed to get to 22 on Friday

We call youns candy butt. LOL

Long time ago My Brother said he was going to put on the biggest,heaviest coat on and drive south till someone ask "Whats that your wearin ?" And stay there . seems he made it to Ocala and from Christmas til Apr was his home for 20 some odd years.

cj in wis, You've got to be kidding......I'm Southern by birth and by the grace of GOD. And mighty proud of it.
Back in the days when I was truckin' all over creation, I used to wonder why in the world any sane person would live in those kinda places. I never come up with a good reason. Still haven't and quite thinking about it. Figure they just like that shot.

50 degrees we usally turn the air conditioning on when it gets that warm,well not quite but that does sound pretty warm i'm up in nothwest wisconsin too,got the wood stove cranking out the heat.

Not exactly balmy. But a good bit nicer than you had feared.

No thanks. Been in upper 80´s here during the day with nights around 75-80. Of course I am a couple thousand miles south of you.

I just hope I'm ready. We had a water line leaking near the road. Discovered it Saturday. Had to call to have the fiber optic and the 2 phone lines located. Had 16' of leaway between'em. Thank God it wasn't broken UNDER the road,but it was close. Got it fixed,but of course we broke some crud loose. It went into the valve in the frost proof ball waterer. Had to take the valve apart in that. Just praying that everything is right with that now so it doesn't give me fits in sub zero weather.

Back in the days before they invented "Wind Chill Factor" we didn't think anything about it. -20F wasn't bad till they said -20 with wind chill at -55 or something like that. This wonderful thing called old age doesn't help either. Be careful and dress warm.

No Thank You,But Yall can come down and visit. I have to warn ya it was 39 when I left the house this morning. Last week 70's and 80's It really has not been cold enough to kill the skeeters yet this year.

Sure. By the weekend it's to be in the low 20's for a high and the teens for a low. AND the prediction is for snow. If you think these DC folk know how to drive in snow your drinking the good stuff. I expect by Friday the grocery stores'll be empthy and by Saturday the roads will be littered with abondoned cars--in the middle of the road.
Course by Monday you can have it all back cause it going to warm up.
