Wow, but how can that be... the media and albore all say we have man made global warming. No way another ice age.. just look at everything melting...soon kids wont even know who frosty the snowman is...
Many of the fools who believe global warming are being duped into the biggest hoax of all.

just look at the forecast for the next week.seen that on the history channel, also seen that december 21st 2012 is going to be possibly the end of life as we know it,ahhh what to beleive.what is al gore going to do about the global warming?

Anyone who thinks they have an accurate prediction of world wide weather patterns for the next 100+ years is delusional. We use supercomputers to guess weather patterns for next year and still miss the mark as often as we get it right. The local meteorologist has problems figuring out if it"s going to rain tomorrow and makes forecasts based on percentages of accuracy.

I do think both sides have a point. Earth has gone through long term patterns of heating and cooling that have so far been completely out of human control. Whether the next change is in the offing is a fairly safe prediction because those of us that heard it won"t be around long enough to confirm its accuracy.

The flip side is we have about 6.7 billion people putting a lot of junk in the air, ground and water. We have to live with what we dump in our back yard and what our neighbor dumps in his. The Chinese are burning coal as fast as they can pull it out of the ground. The air quality in their cities is getting so bad they took steps to minimize pollution prior to the Olympic games to avoid embarrassment. By the way, global weather patterns bring what the Chinese pump into the air our direction.

If we want to continue to use heavy metals, pesticides, burn coal and drive our cars, we ought to at least do what we can to minimize the negative impact - regardless of whether we actually have the ability to change long term weather patterns.

I have to say just the other week at the diner i had a discussion with a global warming nut. I have to say i did find a way to shut him up. This prolly will work with any of the others.

During his speech he said we have to do something to stop the temperatue increase. I simply asked, I didnt know the earth had its own little thermostat that we could adjust its temperature? He said in a smart a!! reply it doesnt and i responded then why do you want the government to spend billions of dollars to do just that.

He finished his coffee and left.

What always ticks me off is, how arrogant are we to think that now, or for that matter 30 years ago was the "ideal temp"? Maybe the ideal temp was back when wooly mamoths roamed the earth. Maybe the ideal temp is 180 and we are all fried, but some other life form can thrive on 180 degrees.. Of course Christians would have to believe that it would be a temp favorable to human life, but who the heck knows. So if the icecaps melt and California and Myrtle Beach go under, maybe it was meant to be.

I guess I just wonder why in the last 10 or 15 years we one day looked at the thermometer and said, "today!, this is the perfect temp."

So this is what it has come to: Quoting "Pravda" articles that dispute global warming. Is this the most reliable source you can come up with? In case you don't know, Pravda (which means "truth" in Russian) was the propaganda arm of the Soviet government. In post-Soviet Russia, it serves the same purpose for our Russian "comrades".

Yea the same folks that are wrong about whether its going to rain Friday about half the time expect us to believe they can predict the temperature within a couple of degrees 50 years from now.

Hmmm,
Would quoting from Time Magazine be ok?
Would quoting from the New York Times on global warming issues be more accurate?
I wonder if there is ANY truth to be found in Pravda. Maybe even their birth and death notices are faked just to advance the party line.
What is the Russian "Party Line" on global warming? Do you know?
Why are GW advocates allowed to pick and choose their "proof" based upon preconcieved notions and GW scoffers are not?

This winter is cold here in MN, lots of snow, and cold. I don't believe in 'man caused' global warming. I do believe the earth will have natural warming and cooling periods, and always has, may be in decade intervals like we have seen in my lifetime, or it may go into a century long period like most believe has happened in the past. I also believe in God, that is my faith and my right to believe. I believe it is in Gods hands and what happens is his will. I also believe that the vial things that we do in life will may lead to the creator ending it some how, but not cow farts and the fact that we have old cars, burn wood, and once in a great while don't recycle something. Every one her in MN is complaining how long, cold, and snowy the winter has been. So far to me is is pretty much a mild winter compared to the 70's. Back then a snowstorm dumped 10"-20" snow and lasted a couple days, it was usually cold early and we deer hunted in snow, and the ice was thick enough to drive on the lakes and enjoy Christmas in the fish house. I remember in the 90's maybe '93'-95 we had almost a week of 100+ degree days. It is what it will be and it may some day be what is was 10,000 years ago. we cant control that. We can just live right and conserve and be earth respectful when we can. Most "go green" global warming sensationalizers don't even practice what the preach. It's all sensationalized for one reason. GREED. Yes there are those that are out there that truly believe it and honestly want to help their cause, just like the hippies in the 70's. Next decade it'll be another crisis or cause that will have people in a uproar. Just my opinion. It's gonna be cold out this week with a high of -5, so today I plan and stock up the wood, plug in the tractors, make sure the cows have a weeks supply of hay. Live one day at a time, and appreciate the fact we have one more day whether it's warm or it's cold.

The earth cycles ever 100,000 years by the past ice ages so what is new is old. The lack of rain in SE is something similar to the plains in the thirtys? Northeast IL had all time recorded rain in 08 and back to back high amount of snow fall the last two winters. Possible record cold winter with last in 76-77 for of number of day below zero. Recyling is a start, but most cities are not in the loop.

I am only 45 but i have seen droughts with temps over a 100 degrees and then the next year or two have temps that would break record lows. Mother nature will give the exact opposit sometimes..
I have seen weathermen/women miss the weather prdiction by thirty degrees or more in a weeks forcast. 90% of the time they have to change the forcast before the 7 days are up on the 7 day forcast..

What i do believe is what the past has done and it seems like Tennessee cyles about every ten to fifteen years..

Every one predicts this and that and it never really happens.. Some times these preditors get lucky but do not for the most part..

I remember several years ago that it was predicted that the world would end before now. Then the millenium was supposed to be disasterous. Almost like a war itself.

All I do know is, we are not going to change the way mother nature is going to decide how she wants to behave..

I love all of this Glogal Warming stuff...... the lost and confused need something to worry about because as the old saying goes: "If you do not believe in the truth, you will fall for anything"

So here goes: Global Warming is Evolutionary based. If you believe in the billions of years stuff then you will fall for this scam also. All the while not giving glory to the Creator who made and sustains all of His creation.

Here is the covenent God made with all of the earth after Noah's Flood. This was before Abraham and was made to all the earth for as long as the earth remains. Genesis 8:20 to 9:17 courtesy of BibleGateway.com:

Chapter 8
20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. 21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though [a] every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

22 "[b:23c961b988]As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease."[/b:23c961b988]

Chapter 9
1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
4 "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.

6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made man.

7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."

Consequently, the answer for all of modern liberalism is listed in this passage also: animal rights, capital punishment etc.

God Bless

This morning was the PERFECT example of why, statistically, you might think global warming was real. I had 6 degrees,Alma was reporting 9,Mt Pleasant 5,Big Rapids 0. On the Grand Rapids TV station, down in the corner of the screen,it said 23. Yes,it was that much warmer in the city. Guess which temperature will go in the record book?

Well, thanks for ruining my dreams. I was sure looking forward to all the ice melting and the oceans rising so that I could have a nice sandy beach with an ocean view in Tennessee. As a beneficial bi-product, we was gonna get rid of all the election problems caused by Florida every four years and the influx of criminals every time Louisiana had a hurricane.

My mind has changed on this issue in the last few years. I am convinced now that the earths warming and cooling cycles are determined by the amount of carbon in the atmosphire. Its how the earth deals with the carbon.
With carbon the earth warms up and increasses the amount of algie that consume carbon and lets out oxigine. Then the algie die and sink to the bottom of the ociean and sequesters the carbon. Under ground. The earth warms up.

Thats where all the Arab oil came from.

Ok I get that. I get burning all the carbon that is hidden under ground puts it back into the air. Speeding the process. I get that.

I get that we cant keep doing it as we have been doing it.

What I dont get is if it makes any difference? Will we be onto the next thing long before there is enough carbon to make a real difference? Could be 1000 years before any thing really happens. By that time we will be onto some thing else.

Point is. Not enough knowledge yet. Keep learning. I dont think in any way do we need to destroy our whole civilization just to make a change.

"Then the algie die and sink to the bottom of the ociean and sequesters the carbon. Under ground. The earth warms up."
I meant the earth cools down. Not warms up.

Would I give this article more credence if it were in Time or the NYT? Well, as a matter of fact, yes. And there are plenty of conservative publications with solid credibility that you could qoute. National Review and the Wall Street Journal come to mind. If you have to go to pravda.com to back up your arguments, you're pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel. No doubt next week someone will post a link to al-Jazeera.

As for the Russian "party line", that's not hard to figure out. Russia in the twenty-first century is an oligarchy. Businessmen in Russia want the same thing businessmen everywhere else want: They want to keep doing whatever it is they're doing that makes them money. And the Russian oligarchs have made a pile of money producing, selling and exploiting fossil fuels. And, as recent events show, Moscow finds it very convenient to have the rest of Europe dependent on Russian natural gas.

If you look at all the bad weather all over north. How can one believe in Global Warming! I think it is just another way of spending our tax money so guys like ole Al Gore can do something for work cause no one else would hire him. ha ha
