bet you my governor gets his tail in as deep a crack as yours did ! seems our gov has been busy handing out construction bid jobs to contractors that supported his political ambitions uh oh....
 
Construction bids are for amatuers; you have to get to no show jobs, promotions for your wife, sweet real estate deals with future presidents(all brokered by your wife and fund raiser/friend) before you hit the big time.
 
Whats new, I live in a town of 700, probably counting dogs and cats in those numbers.

Thirty years ago I was asked to bid on some sidewalks, so I figured a estamate, but told them I had no time to do the project till next year.

Late one night during a town concil meeting the Mayor calls and said... keep your mouth shut, and you can double your bid and still be low bidder. I said no way ..not going down that road , forget it.

Next morning the city clerk called and said I won the bid (double numbered from original estamate)

I choose not to blow the whistle, because I thought I could go to jail...dumb kid at the time.

Construction bids are for the most part decided ahead of time by the bidders..you take this one, next time I get it, type deals.

I refuse to take part..with my run down house, old autos, and not a pot to cook a bean in. I don't sleep well at night very often just the same either???????

All government is corrupt in some form or another.
 
Bid rigging and or collusion, it's nice way to get started, then the no show jobs, but you really need to top it off with a escort service scandal with a side dish of prostitution like our gov did.
 
In Mo. our outgoing Gov is kinda in a pickel because they are saying he knowingly got rid of some e mails. Something about our "Sunshine law" where all proceedings are public record. He has been fighting this issue since he came into office 4 years ago. He chose not to run this time. I think he was a pretty straight up guy, but his detractors will not let it rest.

That is about all the scandle we got. Sorry,

I have to say our governor here in Michigan is honest. Honestly worthless and honestly clueless that is.
