shock question

on the old farm/hunt buggy it has shocks that have the threaded stud on each end. The shocks are busted and at the buggy place they want almost $30 for them. In short I want to buy some automotive shocks that are less expensive and can't find a vehicle that has that stud on both ends any ideas?

some of the AMC cars of the late 60's had a stud top and bottom. Javelin was one i think

1979 Ford F250 4x4 has studs on both ends of the front shocks. Hope this helps.

ea they see alot of boxes not the shock could pull and look they offered but I didn't want to take up that much of their time

Ray, Most of the "good" counter men around here need to know the engine size in order to get you a set of wiper blades. If you can't give them yr., engine size(in liters), make, etc. so they can look it up on the computer, they tell you they can't find anything.

Go to Sears or NAPA. Dig up their shock catalog. Towards the back it lists shocks by dimension, e.g. closed length, stroke, and mounting. Search that for the dimensions of your shocks. Don't let NAPA tell you they don't have the books, THEY DO.

'73 Mustang had shocks with studs at each end. So did the Pinto, just shorter than the mustang.
