Help to identify this tractor.....

I have a "non-homemade" tractor that I"m trying to identify. It has a Ford Model A engine and Transmission and a Model T rearend. I"ve been told it is not a Worthington, but seems well done, so I don"t think it is homemade. I was shown a picture recently where one that has similar bodywork was being used to pull a knife at an Ice Rink, to smooth the ice. That implies there are more than one of these things.

I have pictures if interested.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be????

Thanks
Ed..........

There were a number of auto/truck parts based tractor conversion kits and build-your-own kits commercially available thru the 30s and early 40s, especially Ford based kits; it could well be one of those.
Wendell mentions several; I have no idea when they died out.
If you could post a pic ot two someone here"d almost certainly be able to recognize it (I wouldn"t).

There are several companies that made tractors from A engines, A car transmissions, and A, AA, T, and TT rears. Toro was one of the most common. Also several large garden tractors with the A trans and rear. Post a photo - or email it to me an I can probably ID it.

Many ice-cutting rigs were also made from A and T parts - especially saws for cutting pond ice.
