Ford 800 Hydraulic Sump

Are there three separate oil sumps on a Ford 800?
I found the level plug on the rear end and the dipstick in the center but where is the oil level indicator for the transmission? (5 speed)
What oil is recommended for the rear end?

The oil level plug for the trans is just under the right foot rest.

Manual calls for
8.5 qts of 90w oil in the trans
8 qts of Ford 134 hyd oil in the hyd section
11.5 qts of 90w in the rear end

With that said many use Ford 134 hyd oil in all 3 sumps. In fact Ford has switched its newer tractors over to hyd oil in all 3 sumps.

For me I still use 90w in the trans and rear end and really find it better; but then again I live in the deep south and thick freezing oil is not a problem for me. Summer heat protection is.

Yes, 3 sumps. If I remember right, the level plug for the tranny is on the right side. Owners manual will say 80 weight (or is it 90?) for tranny and rear end. Current recommendation from NH is 134D in all 3 sumps, as it will work fine, and many of these tractors leak between the compartments anyway. Your hydraulic pump will NOT like the heavy oil.
