I put my loader in the back of my truck and lift the front tires off of the ground a little bit, then I put saftey chains on it. This is how I move it by myself. But the last time I did this it somehow jumped in 5th gear and now I can't get it out, the tractor was running the whole time i was pulling it. It is a syncro transmission.

sounds like you might have burnt up the clutch pak for 5th gear each gear has a cluch pach(synchro pak) whatever they call it gonna be expensive and time consuming with the money you are going to spend now you could have bought a trailer

With the engine running, towing it at speeds within reason wouldn't have hurt it, as the transmission topshaft is being lubed by the transmission pump as long as the engine is running.

I wonder HOW fast he towed it?

johndeereman,

You posted: "each gear has a cluch pach(synchro pak)".

You are a bit misinformed.

There are only 3 syncro clutchpacks in total.

One for REVERSE.

One for the "low" gears 1,3,5.

One for the "high" gears 2,4,6.
